A Closer Bond Emergency Fund General Information
The A Closer Bond Emergency Fund (ACBEF) provides pet parents unlimited access to our certified and experienced Vets 24/7 via face-to-face calling or texting with images in 103 different languages.
We also provide up to $1,500 in emergency funds in case your pet needs help immediately. Pet parents can talk to our vets via our App regardless of an emergency or not. A Closer Bond Vets are there to give advice, triage emergencies or to answer any basic pet related questions.
Rules and Regulations of the A Closer Bond Emergency Fund
- There is a mandatory waiting period from the time of sign-up before the funds become available for use if applicable to the package you purchased
- Available for up to 6 domestic pets, registered by pet parents
- Funds are available only if full or monthly continuous payments are made for the duration of the membership period
- When a Life threatening emergency happens before the end of your yearly membership, then funds covering the rest of the membership fee will be deducted from the total Emergency Vet invoice at the time of payment to the Emergency Vet Clinic
- Funds are paid directly to the Emergency Clinic by ACBEFM Administration once the final invoice from the clinic is received and verified
- All Life threatening emergencies have to be evaluated and referred by one of our qualified Vets through our App only
- After assessment, pet parents have 4 hours to find medical emergency care as recommended by our veterinarian team
- Funds will not be released and available to clinics after the 4 hours have expired from the time of the emergency call or text
- The A Closer Bond Emergency Fund Membership only pays for the initial emergency care. All other follow up care is at the expense of the pet parents. Clients cannot access any funds if the pet has been admitted prior to contacting one of our vets
- It is the pet parent's responsibility to contact one of our vets prior to visiting an emergency/vet clinic to get an assessment and referral for their pet. A mandatory video call or uploading a video of your pet for proper assessment is required before our vets can recommend the fund activation
- Waiting for medical care can result in an unnecessary emergency for your pet and we do not support medical negligence
- Our senior Vet and ACBEFM administration reserve the right to review all cases that are activated and can deny the funds if the guidelines and protocols are not met
- Funds up to a value of $1,500 can be approved for a life threatening emergency
- You may be required to provide proof of ownership of your pet
- It is the discretion of our qualified vets to recommend the activation of the A Closer Bond Emergency Membership funds It is the pet parent's responsibility to ensure that all guidelines are followed in order to be approved by the ACBEFM admin team for payout at the time of the emergency
- Texting is not sufficient to reach a decision if it is a Life threatening emergency
- ACBEFM is not transferable to other parties and their pets
- Funds are restricted to a one-time pay-out regardless of the amount but up to $1,500
- Funds are not paid out if the monthly payments are disrupted
- Funds are not transferable to the Pet Parent(s)
- Funds are only paid to a registered vet clinic or Emergency Vet Clinic at the time of the emergency
- We require a copy of the Emergency Vet Bill via email or text
- We pay for any immediate Life-threatening emergency vet service required up to $1,500
- You will not qualify for ACBEFM funds if our Vets have previously recommended a visit to your vet clinic and you failed to comply
- ACBEFM does not pay emergency funds when the pet emergency is due to pet parents' negligence. ACBEFM does not cover emergencies associated with breeding or pregnancy issues
