Erin Z.
Dog Trainer
Erin's three passions in life are Family, Fitness and working with dogs. She has 3 wonderful children, a loving husband and very stubborn husky named Dakota.
From a young age, she has always loved being around and interacting with all types of dogs. After enlisting in the U.S. Army, she was fortunate to have been selected as a Military Working Dog (MWD), K9 handler, and was given Tanja, the best partner any officer could ever want. During this time Erin was able to see how capable our four legged friends can be and how loyal they are to the ones they love. After leaving military service she was employed with the United States Marshals Service as a Deputy U.S. Marshal. Here she worked in various areas, including fugitive investigation, judicial protection, extraditions, evictions and the production of federal prisoners.
Erin left the U.S. Marshals Service in 2010, and for 10 years pursued her two other passions in life. For the past 10 years she was a certified personal trainer and fitness instructor with local area gyms. In late 2020, Erin was given the opportunity to once again become involved with the development and training of dogs.
Erin currently works as a trainer for the puppy learn and play program. She finds this to be the most rewarding area as she gets to spend her day playing with all sorts of cute and cuddly puppies as well as getting them on the right path to become socialized and enriched before their next step to formal training. Can you say 'Best job ever!' In her time here with A Closer Bond she's become CPR certified through PetTech and PACCC certified.
